clean your maf!!!!!!

lately ive been noticing a lot of people posting concerns of mostly maf related problems. im all for asking questions but this tread is to mostly eliminate this as a factor.
does your car idle rough in drive?
is your auto shifting all stupid?
are you getting poor fuel economy?
did you notice a loss in power?
CLEAN YOUR MAF
crc maf cleaner is the best way to go about this.
if you have a factory intake and are not mechanically inclined folow these easy steps and you will have a squeaky clean maf in no time.
1) unsnap the four clips holding on the airbox lid
2) loosen the clamp on the intake duct (8mm or flathead)
3) gently wiggle the whole thing out of the vehicle
4) a ratcheting wrench works the best, reomove the four 10mm bolts from the upper lid
5) clean away
the instructions for the cleaning process is on the can.
the screen is for air flow stabilization to the hotwire so false readings do not arise. cleaning this is also a good idea. i recommend cleaning your maf every second oil change to keep you max running great.

Cleaned mine and its still shot 
good thing I have one that should be arriving today
I recommend cleaning it every oil change or every other like maxed out suggested because if you go too long with no cleaning there is no coming back.

Until I see symptoms that points to the MAF, I will not touch that sensor. Cost too much to be tampering with although I know you can get them from the classifieds for cheap...and what's with the entire forum without their stock intake?? Am I the only one still with mine?

(Relatively) stock intake user here-cleaned my sensor today and noticed it seemed to pull harder afterward. Def worth it for the price. 
Just hit 200k today too on the stock MAF. Never had any trouble from it, but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.

Going on 218K here with the stock (untouched) MAF. And I'm the only owner since 9/94, so I know the MAF has never been cleaned, or even looked at. Stock air box too.
Oh yeah, the car still runs fantastic (knock on wood, of course!).

sometimes when there on the way out and you clean them they die altogether did u plug it back in and mak sure all intake hose clamps are tight if u need a nother maf there are some for sale in the classifed section i have 2 for sale and others have some for sale also check to make sure u pluged it back in and that all hoses were hooked back up
