exhaust pops and crackles?

hey guys. I got a question.

I've searched for a similiar topic and couldn't find anything. so here goes.

I have the original exhaust on my car with no leaks. right around 1500 RPM on decelerating or when I shift, I can hear pops and crackles from the exhaust. they're not loud, but they're loud enough to hear inside the cabin. I have no codes or anything. what causes this? and how can I make it louder? I kinda like it. lol

Check your Knock Sensor, your car is wasting fuel, and it's burning up inside of the exhaust causing the noises you hear... My car is doing it A LOT right now because of the KS pulling mad timing.

Even with my high flow cat the noises can easily be heard when revving up or in the high rpms.

Or you could just have an exhaust leak at the Y-pipe like my car originally did, it is addicting at first, makes for good lolz trolling through pedestrian heavy areas.

My car likes to make teh noises... I need to make a vid of when I un-do one of my extra O2 sesnor ports, you'll see flames under my car then.

If I'm wasting fuel and still pulling off 24 mpg city, I wonder what I would get then.

clogged egr could cause backfire. its worth cleaning that with the iacv and throttle body. shouldnt take you too long, about an hour for all 3.
