another "birds chiripin under the hood"

so..it started yesterday morning...started the car and heard what sounded like chirping under the hood, its obviously coming from the area around the belts..

- my crank puley vibrates at idle...but its done that since i got the car a year ago... my belt was loose months ago, tightened it, *squeel* gone, but this is chirping, sounds like birds under my hood, when i rev it, it just gets faster and a little higher pitch, but dies down to a constant chirp at idle, i did research on it but coulldnt find anything to narrow it down enough...:/...tomorow i will see if my crank pulley is loose to the touch and will try tightening it when everything is torn apart for my clutch.

- ive read about maybe bearings, water pump, or just a bad pulley in itself, any advise is helpful thanks!

maybe you have birds under your hood :dunno:

Most likely a bearing. Most likely an alternator bearing. Do you have a mechanic's stethoscope?

1. is there a way to check to see if the pully is going? other than taking the belt off, spinning each individual pulley to see if it squeaks?

2...and yea you know i kill the birds and stick them in my sub box to make it bump harder, literally....haha no

hmm... maybe you can try taking some ajax and sprinkling it around the pulleys and see if the chirping stops? well, that always helped me..

Ok. You have to actually check things before we can give you an answer. In all likeliness, your belt needs to be tightened. It could also be worn out, so inspect it for cracks or wear and replace if necessary.
