correct. that stuff does wonders!! thanks for all the coments guys.

it really does come down to money but also the creativity you have in your mind. i love being different despite what others think i will always have my own style. the whole idea of this project is to do something nobody else has. as for the engine i dont have a cover so i figured i'd make it as presentable as possible. paint the valve covers polish anything i could, keep that crazy looking fuel rail. love it!!

i really just want a clean tasteful looking engine bay. nothing over the top but still stands out from the rest. as for the money part, i have spent maybe 30 bucks making the engine bay the way it is. other then the fpr its just paint, polish and having a creative mind that makes my car the way it is.

I can't get over how well that intake manifold came out. Can't even tell it's paint. Keep it up, enjoying watching the progress!

well i got my liquid filled gauge installed. i like the location but i dont know how im going to feel about that vacume line going up in the air. i dont want it going too high and looking sloppy.

well it started raining before i could do anything else so i decided to mess around with an extra exhaust i had from my S14. just took a blotorch to it and it came out like this. knid of like how it turned out

Sorry, I can't help but is that exhaust SS or aluminum? Also, why the liquid filled guage? I was told to go with a liquid filled gauge but when I went to my local speed shop to buy one I was told that early gauges couldn't handle vibrations but modern gauges are built better.

so i finally got around to putting white led's into all my interior lights. pretty pleased with how they turned out.

finally fould some black plastic that could go inside my lights to make them look more horizontal then all diamond. before and after picture, then i decided the red was too dark so i sprayed it a little with some silver to lighten it up a bit. probably going to keep all of them like the last picture

I like it, it's unique and looks pretty good. Although, how come you didn't do it carbon fiber like the tweeter holders and gauges.

Very nice. Great attention to detail. Something to be very proud of.

I'd take off the white CF stack. Black is cleaner, not as ricey. Can that stick shift be shortened at all? Looks kinda long.

Otherwise, love the car, especially the engine bay. Beautiful.

umm as far as i know they dont make a sts for the 6speed tranny, thats why its so high. i wanna try one out off the sentra but who knows if it will even fit.

engine didnt start but sounds like its turning over. i either dont have fuel or spark so gonna trouble shoot that tomorrow

did that. what was weird though i was able to turn the engine over with no grounds on the im and no ecm hooked up. kind of blew me away that it would even turn over without that thing hooked up.

so the grounds on the IM are hooked back up right? just asking...
did you sand the engine/tranny mating surface before installation? that seems to be the really really important ground...every time ive forgotten to sand it down weve always had starting issues. you can try adding grounds to the bellhousing of course...

yes they are now hooked up. naw i never did that although that mating surface looked very clean to me. i have my battery ground going fron the battery to the body to the tranny back by the filler plug. ill try and get another one to the block and on the starter bolts. seems like a simple fix/check. i really wish our ecu had a light on it so i could know if its getting power to it or not

checked all grounds those are good im getting fuel, havent checked the spark yet and i have a feeling it might be the cps sensor for the timing ring on the flywheel. i checked voltage and it was only .5 vs the 5v it should be. and my fuel pump isnt turning on without me giving it direct power. im going to check the ecu tomorrow so we shall see.

i just dont understand why it wouldnt come on considering i never did anything to it.

ok so im pretty sure this is what going on with my car

From what I've gathered, it's most likely the crankshaft position sensor causing the problems. I think the camshaft sensor detects misfires, while the crankshaft sensor on the side of the engine block detects when cylinder 1 is at TDC (and therefore when fuel should be fed to the engine during starting). Does that sound about right?

so either the sensor just isnt lined up or bad. im like 100% positive that i put the flywheel in the right place (where the dowl is for it to be at TDC) so we shall see what happens when i have daylight to work on it. thinking about buying a new sensor just because

thanks man. im really liking how the tails are turning out. here is an updated shot of the tails together. yes i realize the inner red is a bit lighter its been fixed and is drying at the moment. i had to reseal them with some black rvt silicone sealent. after they are all sealed ill be sanding them down and reclearing. i want them to look fresh and clean

i got pretty bored tonight considering it gets dark at 530 here in Cail so i did this to my window switches.

here is the latest shot of my engine bay. still trying to figure out why its not starting

I'm still looking for some black leather seats but Cali seems to never have any maximas parting out. They are all on the east coast
Love the lighting Ideas. White and purple go very well with eachother Yeah, you are right about all the parting out maximas on the east cost, Here in Georgia every other car on the road is a maxima, specifically 4th gens. Typically our lovely VQ's are relentless, basically
