Cattman and Progress Springs

I ordered my new supension setup today. KYB AGX struts with Progress Springs and a Progress Camber kit.

Cattman told me that I could very well have ordered the last new set of Progress' because they no longer make them and they were the last set he had in stock.

Thought I'd share.

On a side note, Cattman is very, very friendly. He helped me out, priced things right, and I'm overall very happy to have done business with him. Hope to buy more stuff soon!

Cattman said he talked to Progress and told them he couldnt buy X amount every few months b/c they dont sell as fast anymore. He told me over the phone that Progress said if that was the case they were gonna stop production.

I bought My first set in the Cattman AGX-5 setup......But I decided to change to the Tokico Illuminas and had to upgrade to 00-03 since the AGX-5 is actually 95-99 Progress Spring and strut package.....I ordered that second set directly from Progress and the color was no longer teal but charcoal gray and the front coil winding were farther apart with less coils.....The Progress engineer said there may have been some design revisions....So I would hope Progress has some in stock b4 they really discontinue the parts.....

If you got the price of 550 for struts and springs from his website, its wrong lol. He told me that he hasnt updated it in about 5 years. If you were to have bought the AGX and Progress setup from him it woulda been more like 750. I ended up buying my AGX on sale from TireRack and the springs from him.

Ouch! No wonder the prices were so cheap! $550 is a steal. His website says $160 for just the Progress Springs. That price must be out of date too!

I thought progress' were teal colored? Idk tho, I think I may have read somewhere that they redesigned them in the recent years and are grey. Ill let you know what mine look like when they arrive.

So because chrisman is running Agx and you bought them makes them great? Have you ever takin a ride in his car with this setup? I could say my coilovers are better than some other brand but doesn't make it true especially when I haven't been in a car with that set up. Word of mouth can be a b1tch

on a side note, I'm running Illuminas w/s-techs all around and they are great, but I would like to try these as well, because I need to rebuild my front left anyway due to a bad strut bearing.

I love my set-up and how much I paid for it They ride great even with 18's. They ride much smoother with the stockies on.

Illuminas will have a smoother ride (if set to the properly) and they won't ride harsher in the cold like AGX's do. I've personally never experienced that and won't worry about that either since my stock suspension goes on for winter anyway.

1. I live in florida, so cold weather wont be a problem for the AGX
2. Not paying the huge sum of money for coilovers
3. Lowering a car on GR-2s or Tockico Blues is the dumbest thing ever
4. When near everyone on the forums says go for the illuminas or agx's, I think I'm safe.

Its called Konis.

They blow away all other struts available for our cars.

Ive tried every other struts, they all ride like **** when lowered. Konis are the only ones that can be shortened. You need more travel with our suspension. They also ride much better since the adjustment is for rebound only. If you turn AGX to 4/8 its like riding in a dump truck. When I had AGX/Eibachs I could not dial in the fronts for the life of me. It was either to soft and bottomed out or it was too hard and felt like my teeth were going to fall out. TRUST ME.
