Just for input on future .org-ers who find this thread, I bought shocks and struts off of ebay almost 2 years ago and i'm lowered almost 3 inches. The setup is *supposedly* shortened an inch for lowered cars. The brand was "Lotek" and it cost me $150 for the shocks and struts. Still no leakage. Rides like a tank (rough) but hey, better than bouncing sideways off of the road on blown shocks. Worth the tiny amount of money compared to the competition. Just do NOT buy Lotek adjustable coilovers I have NEVER seen anything good about them except that they can be sold for $20 of scrap metal.

Yeh so read that and save money... Unless you reeeaally like the finer things in life more than money....... lol

I bought Sensen Shocks and Struts almost a year ago and extremely happy with them. I installed them myself with help of the video below:

Thinking about getting them but not sure about the quality.Anyone here have experience with those.I have contacted the seller to find out who makes them.
ITs funny this thrread was brought up i have 113 k on orig. susp. ..it doesnt bounce or anything but i would have to say that at 15 yrs old they cant be riding as nice as new ..so i was considering these also!(plus the rubber boot covers are crumbled!)
But since i am not into spirited driving , i am looking more for not feeling the little bumps on the crappy roads and having a nice smooth ride
smooth ride is more important to me than stiffness! anyway the question i have is what suspension brand would be what an old man would want?
I want the ones that best eat up the imperfections in the road with noticing as little as possible while driving over them?

I've read where Sensen firmness is somewhere between a Monroe Sensatrac and a Tokico Blue.

I currently run Tokico Blues on my I30. The Blues seemed to firm up the I30 suspension -- which I doubt you want.

Also, I have KYB AGX on my 99 SE which can be adjusted for the track or street -- which I don't think you want.

I had Monroe Sensatracs on my 95 SE. The Sensatracs had a good ride with a responsive feel.

Ive done a bit of reading and comparing a few different brands, sen sen, monroe etc. and i noticed that the cheaper brands/models have like at least an inch less of travel than the stock oem's...for a normal driver under non spirited conditions does that inch or so make that much difference...or if ur not slamming over the bumps at higher than normal speeds will you even notice the -1 inch?
