Map/Baro Solenoid Air/Vacuum Sources?

Hey all

I was wondering if you guys could help figure out where/what source of air goes to the lines of the Map/baro solenoid. I also have another solenoid that was running along the Vacuum Gallery that looks exactly like the Map/baro solenoid (not the EVAP solenoid).

Here is the picture...

K5T46581 7924 : Map/baro Solenoid

K5T46583 7923: Another Map/baro Solenoid????I'm not sure?They look the same...

A: ?
B: to boost solenoid (IIRC)
C: ?

Im only asking because I didn't understand this picture...I also couldn't find where/how the other solenoid was hooked up/whats its purpose.

I should also add I did removed the vacuum gallery, to clean up the bay a little (hoses were disconnected/cut a while back). So I want to hook back both solenoids (minus the EVAP solenoid). Something tells me ill be shooting in the dark on this one...

Does it matter which is which? I also have another one that's identical but it sits in the middle of the vacuum gallery (has green connector) the Map/Baro has a brown connector.

I'll wait. Was going to try it tonight but since it hasn't been plugged in for like half the summer I don't really care. Just trying to clean up/ remove the engine lights. Thanks Kevlo

A and C connect to the metal hoses, Im not sure which is the vac and where they both go.

http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/maxima/1997/EC.pdf
EC10 has the main diagram, just follow the lines. Might be easier to take in paint and color the lines

But to me it looks like A goes to filtered air source and C goes to vac

c= in - barometric air source from intake box/tubing
b= out - goes to absolute pressure sensor.
a= in - needs vacuum source (UIM)

Late to the party but here are all 3:

Going by your A,B,C; A is the single metal nipple, B is the middle plastic nipple, C is the last nipple.

Green solenoid controls EGR.
A- Vacuum from intake manifold
B- Back pressure transducer, AKA EGR valve
C- Fresh air source, from intake resonator

Brown solenoid controls Boost/MAP sensor.
A- Vacuum
B- Boost sensor
C- Fresh air source

Black solenoid control EVAP.
A- Fresh air source
B- Vacuum source with check valve
C- Evap canister purge control valve, AKA little black disc on intake manifold

The vacuum gallery is the most over engineered pile of metal spaghetti in the world. Its way confusing and overly complicated. I removed all of it years ago and mounted all 3 solenoids and boost sensor to a metal bracket near the ABS actuator.

Map/Baro sensor

I think I may have a similar issue with my map/baro sensor. I started having a stalling issue only when coming to a stop. Acted like it was starving for fuel. Here's the list of things I replaced: IACV, fuel pump, TPS, Cam PS. Took TB off and thoroughly cleaned it. (Thanks Pohmr for great right up). Can I test map/baro like most sensors? As long as I'm getting X volts then it's good? It's starting to stutter and try and stall even under acceleration. Only happens when engine up to normal temp. Doesn't happen every time it's driven. I'm at the end of my rope. Any ideas?

Either leave it open to the air or connect it to the mid pipe.

so when you say vacuum you mean a hose directly off the manifold not the airbox/intake? the reason why i am askin all these questions is because i am currently fixing all vacuum lines and i just want to make sure its right the time. and after a lot of research this is probably the most helpful info i've come by.
