Naw, the rockers are fine, tiny bit rusty. The floor is what I was surprised at, seeing as its the rockers that are a HUGE thing with these fourth gens. Theyre rotted near the front wheels, and here in good old wisconsin, we are very liberal with salt, LOL. Sometimes it feels like driving on a gravel road in the winter, NO LIE! Must be from salt being tossed at the underside! But yeah, I'm not worried abvout the other stuff. As a matter of fact, you can see the holes in my "Scary Bits" album on my profile.

Also, i am a REALLY good patcher, so this will not be a problem. I had a good teacher.

I find this weird that the only other place related to problems with rust on 4th gen maximas is the core support. I've got mostly surface rust, but then again, I got spalsh shields under the car, so it probably got spared a lot of the abuse from salt and such. I have rust in the weirdest spots. I shouldnt be surprised. This kind of **** happens to me a lot, LOL. I get the oddballs I guess.

From reading up on rust issues in the numerous forums on here, I can honestly say you need to inspect all these places to see if they're rotten:

-core support
-rocker panels/wheel wells towards the rear
-bottom of quarter panel near trunk of car (drain hoses like to break there )

Still more research to do, but this is a start. best thing i can say now is to keep doing your research. Look up EVERYTHING concerning rust repair. Hope this helps.
