The mechanic is telling me it's best to change out the whole arm when doing this job but I don't want to spend the extra money being that the control arm bushings are still good. What do you guys think about this? Also, recommend a good source for better made ball joints.

Thanks.

Dude that is awesome! you got 2 years out of cheap parts! I had Moog only last me under a year so I dont see how you're a victim. OEM = FTW but they dont sell ball joints separately

No problems with my Moog ball joints. If so, Moog's have a lifetime warranty

getting jobber suspension parts, (well all parts) is a simple trade up, I got ebay balljoints for dirt cheap and lasted me about 2 and just got another cheap set again. If you have the ability to put parts like ball joints in, your golden, if not, OEM is probably a better pay off.

replacing the entire LCA is a little steep on the bank, especially OEM, I'd suggest trying some copies from Autozone or an equivalent parts store, (in Canada we have Lordco, I'm not familiar with US companies equivalencies)
