Wrecked 4th gen

Going down a hill probably a 15 degree incline at 60 hit the brakes with about 175yds to go and brakes did not seem to do much to slow the car as it should have. Went around the corner at probably 40 and hit the curb of the median (two lanes going each direction) tearing up the Axle, Control Arm, and Strut. Anybody thinking brake failure. Tires did not seem to slip until i was trying to make the turn.

What was the posted speed limit on the road you were driving on?
What was the posted speed limit for the curve you were approaching?

Did you get a ticket for anything?

The speed limit was 35 but, it was late at night and it was bout a mile down a dead end back road. There was no curve it was a T-intersection the police were not involved nor was the insurance because insurance only covered liability(good job dad(sarc)). I had been off the gas for 200 yds and was braking for about 125-150 yds trying to stop for a stop to wait so my friend's 5.0 could catch up since he didn't really try to stay with me. The roads were both split-4-lane two going each way. This road got two cars that came by over the hour and a half we were there so, it's not like we were doing anything where it could affect someone else.

Street racing is virtually nonexistent in Hoover seeing as how Hoover police has a Porsche Carrera at their disposure.

you need to find something useful to do instead of:
#1 Driving like a jacka**
#2 Blaming your father for not giving you full coverage(if you want to know the real reason, see above)
#3 Having bald tires
#4 Tring to justify you driving like a jacka** by saying;and i quote:

#5 Creating this thread to pass the blame onto your car, which as it happens, is only as SMART or as STUPID as its driver.

either way, if your story is accurate, i suspect brakes. If in 175 yards you only managed to slow down 20mph, thats nuts, these cars can go from 60-0 in less than 50 yards probably. its not like u were flying down a crazy hill either, 15* isnt a lot really. maybe if you were dropped on a really good suspension and other stiffening mods you coulda took that turn at 40mph lol.

After reading the above two statements, one can determine what caused the crash.

Yup, pretty obvious it was driver error.

Before you agree with some dip**** who has really no business posting useless comments that pick on spelling, note that if i'm standing on the brakes and they don't do much to stop the car then that is mechanical failure. I've made much shorter stops going much faster and on a steeper incline than this. When was i blaming my dad?? i'm simply stating that he's a dip**** for not getting better coverage cause now he has to pay for the repair bill himself. Where in the **** did i state that my tires were bald??? They had about 70 percent still on them. The only reason the speed limit was so slow is because it was adjacent to a school the road is mabye two years old and does not get alot of use. AN ARGUEMENT IS ONLY AS GOOD AS YOUR RESEARCH SO NEXT TIME DO SOME

This forum is not for figuring out how you crashed your car. Let you're father's insurance company investigate it instead of trying to boost post count. Thread closed.
