OEM wheel selections

Hey I have the 06/07/08 7 spoke maxima rims (17 x7) and wanting to move up to 18s. I know the bolt patter is 5 x 4.5 (114.3 mm). Will Mazda's rims fit, hub fitment, offset? Also, I see they went from a 4.5 spacing to 114mm....will 114mm fit on our car?

(may need other members to confirm the following)
several other car's OEM wheels will fit our cars. you need to find wheels with the bolt pattern "EXACTLY 5x114.3", center bore of "AT LEAST 66.1", and offset of between +35 and +45.

keep in mind, though, if the center bore is GREATER than 66.1, you will need hubcentric rings (basically an adapter that resizes the center bore of said rim), or else you will be "lugcentric", which means the wheel is held on by the lugnuts, but not the center. some people don't mind being lugcentric, but it makes me nervous.

IIRC:
most 5-lug mitsubishi wheels have 5x114.3 / 67.1
(for instance, lancer wheels)
most 5-lug mazda wheels have 5x114.3 / 67.1
(for instance, millenia wheels - by the way, very lightweight wheel)
almost all 5-lug nissan/infiniti wheels have 5x114.3 / 66.1
many aftermarket wheels have 5x100 AND 5x114.3, with a 70-something cb, obviously needs centering rings, and sometimes you also need tuner lugs due to the smaller size of the lug hole.

i would stray from anything else.

p.s. there is actually a wheel and tire section. you may get flamed for posting this here lol

personally, i think the sedans are better. i like unidirectional tread patterns, and you can't rotate staggered wheels with unidirectional treads. unless you pay the extra $5-$20 (depending on who you know lol) per tire to have them broken down and re-mounted...

... orly? first result on google shows that:

MILLENIA, 94-on, 15 X 6.5
PROTEGE, 02-on, 14 X 6
RX-7, 93-96, 16 X 8
626, 88-on, 15 X 6
929, 88-on, 15 X 6
MPV, 99-on, 15 X 6

All the above have a 5x114.3 bolt pattern, 67.1 center bore, and "high" offset, which is between +35 and +45

If the center bore information is correct, then apparently mazda changed center bore going from 4bolt to 5bolt wheels because I know for a fact the 4x100 miata wheels have too small a center bore to fit Nissan b13 sentra (that's what I was basing my personal experience on).. I was able to put 1998 200sx SE-R wheels on my Miata but not able to put Miata wheels on my 200sx because the center bore was too small.

the coupe wheels have a staggered width. 7.5" vs. 8" IIRC. my brother has them on his 5.5 gen with unidirectional treads, and hasn't rotated his tires once since he got them. the only way to do it is to break down all four tires and re-mount them. in other words, rotating JUST THE TIRES and not the wheels. it's even worse for wheels like the 300ZX T/T wheels, which are staggered AND unidirectional wheels. (R and L is embossed onto the wheel lol)

^^^sorry but IMO they dont look good on a 4th(or any maxima at that), no matter how you try it still looks like a "truck/suv" wheel on a maxima. i might as wheel convert my max to six lug and put titan wheels on my maxima.

I had a 93 MX-6 running 04 (I think) 18's. (edit) I meant Maxima wheels.

Bolted up fine on the front, needed wheel spacers on the back because the bore was different and the wheel wouldn't fit flush.

So from front to back was different for me, but I haven't tried Mazda to Nissan.

Hey has anyone tried these 3.5 Altima SE wheels before? They're suttle, but look 10x better than 4th gen SE wheels.
