95/96 Headlights with the Cefiro Mod
[Edit] I did it... Not as good as buying the clear corners and 97+ headlights, but hey I'm only out $10, and I think it's a nice touch...

This is the Cefiro mod because the corners are completely blacked out, including the reflector.
-Look a lot like Cefiro's don't they?

Wouldn't that kill the light output not having those reflectors?

Hah see the PM I sent back?
Mine? (AKA 1/2 Yours) Not too much, I can still see curbs and stuff at night which is what I care about, I bet if I got a glossy black and clear coated it I would not have noticed a difference. See, IMO I think the diffuser on the plastic lens is what helps light up the road not the reflective part.... Now on the ones that "Digital" (and most others) use in their mods are the "clear" ones, which I thought came w/ the 97+ maximas.... But after further research I think they're the same and you have to get the "clear" ones offa ebay.
See with the "Clear" corners they rely more upon the reflector housing (look closely @ em you see the many lil' squares?) to diffuse the light, in which painting it a glossy black w/ a clear coat you may cut light output down a little, but not noticeable.
Either way, I haven't noticed a difference in light output... Except for the fact that my pass side light is walleyed and my driver side is blinding people... JDM HEADLIGHTS YO! I already got flashed 2x tonight, I'll get to readjusting them.... when I feel like it...

But now, what's been done has been done, I only need to worry about two more things, re adjustment and if they're sealed up good... I wash my car tomorrow.

When I hit my turn signal, it lights up the road on that side. I didn't like it at first, but it's actually pretty useful, so yeah, output is important.

Thanks Bigpopa!
Wierd, I've seen it on other nissans from our generation but mine stays the same brightness when I hit the turn signal. But yes output is VERY important to me, not in Houston but back up in Manhattan where street lights are a foreign concept I find them very useful.
Be warned, there's been a thread or two about that mod melting the housing.
I did the mod where the corner lights stay bright like that. Do eeeeetttt!
