Does anyone know the part # for the drives side trans seal on a 95 5spd non lsd transmission? Mine is leaking and i need to get one. Autozone doesnt have a part listing for it either.
Assuming you mean the axle seal, it's 38342-03E00, $7.52 @ Courtesy.
Autozone has it, Timken PN 710118.
Yes I mean axle seal, that autozone part # says transmission seal. But yes, i need the axle seal. It does say for automatic, so I will go with the courtesy p#.
Check for play in the axle before you waste your money on that seal. Usually when they start to leak, it's a pretty good indication that your diff. bearings are worn.
A very common issue with the 5MT trannys. Replacing the seal usually doesn't fix the leak.
I didnt think the seals were the same from manual to automatic? why wouldnt parts places state that?
thanks for all the help

should be the same, but for mine (99 5MT) its oil seal part number 18000 (from canada anyways) and the diameter is 3.558 inches
all the same thing i guess, trying to seal the trans up from leaking out the lubricant. but i think most of the Canadian cars are lsd. mine is not for sure

The part number doesn't mean anything without a manufacturer. Also, assuming you've got the original trans in your car (and it was originally destined for Canada) then you've got a VLSD, which has a different seal.
