Rusted radiator support

Rusted radiator support
Argh... I just found that the lower radiator support is rotting away on my 99... I see that you can buy one for less than $100, but has anyone actually done this? Just wondering how difficult... Do you have to drill out spot welds to get the original piece off? Does the new piece have to be welded on? How much disassembly is needed? I have a feeling this could be very discouraging...

I'm in the middle of this right now.
After doing some searching. I learned that the lower radiator suppotr is welded in by spot welds. They can either be grinded or drilled out. There are 20+ on either side. Do yourself a favor and don't buy one off of ebay. Get one from the dealer for better quality. Depending on your location a mechanic has charged $300-$800. If you do it yourself, use truck bed undecoating and then paint it.
Do a search, there are plenty of threads on this topic.
