Cooling system. Hoses mostly, any leaks? Check your brakes for pad thickness. I would do fresh oil change(s) first.

As long as you've been keeping up on your maintenance, I'd just check fluids and tire pressures before making that trip.

I would check battery condition (Connections and battery itself), tire thread life, top off all fluids (Change it if applies) and go!

if you been doing maint...just go. Otherwise doesn't hurt to check fluids and maybe take a few tools...just in case.

yes just check or change your oil, check coolant level, and tires/pressure. If maintanence is up to date your good to go. I recently took my max on a nearly 800 mile round trip, and she performed alot better than i expected. the ride was smooth there and back and gas mileage was great even with 220k on the clock.

Lmfao Well Said....

I Did A 1400 Mile trip n my 99 Maxima Last year and to be Honest i was kinda nervous Cause she had 255k HARD driven miles on it and just didn't know how she'd take sitin at 2600 RPMS for hours and hours lol.

but I put Fresh Mobil 1 High Milege Oil change,K&N Oil filter, Filled up tank with premium chevron fuel with a bottle of their techron fuel injector cleaner. set all my wheels are 40PSI and HIT THE HIGHWAY She Ran like a dream. I drove 90mph for 140 miles concidently cause thats when the Cruise Control stops and wont allow more speed lol.

These VQ motors are something else...Auto Transmissions are JUNK on them.
