changed transmission now wont start....help please

ok, i changed my transmission 2 days ago and afterwards i get everything wired up (been 5spd swapped for 6 years now) and i go to turn the key and NOTHING just the lights in the dash and thats it. no chug-chug,nothing. i took the starter to autozone tested good. got some suggestions on how to "hotwire" the starter. starts fine that way.

so now i am at a loss, all fuses are good all connections are tight. battery is charged. i used my parts car (the wifes) to see if it was the ignitiuon switch. nope thats not it. so now i am stumped, anyone have any suggestions? my next option is to make a push button start, so if anyone has any experience in that area i would welcome that advice as well.

thanks.

How exactly do you have the park/neutral sensor wired up?

That's most likely your problem.

What you need to do is run a jumper across the P/N connector, see if it starts then.

Likely it's not working now because of a wire mixup, or something else, since you just worked in the area.

IIRC it's in the FAQs, but any remote start 'kit' or button you buy should come with instructions and a wiring diagram.

I think it may be ECU time for you..

It turns out TS cannot do reflashes on Saturdays. I am going to end up taking the trip to LA during the week. Probably gonna go on Wednesday or something.

No, P/N harness. You don't need the ground to the trans casing, I took mine off years ago. It also wouldn't cause a no crank situation.

First, there's a sig for a reason, so you don't have to post your crap in every post you make.

Second, the 6MT in the Spec V? ...no. Not like it is, anyway, unless you make a custom bellhousing adapter for QR-VQ.

You could swap it in from the A33B/A34, if you want a 6MT. Or use the Spec V internals with a VQ bellhousing.

Why not just go with a 5MT? Cheaper, easier, more readily available.

Drop the caps, no need to yell.

As he said, the PNP switch harness. There are only two wires there, figure it out.
