Prepping for Roadtrip
so im making a big move soon and i was wondering what kind of prepping i should do right before the trip. its a 1500 mile trip. ive been on ALOT of road trips before but never in a car of mine, so i dont know what people check before making there journeys. anyone?

yeah i was gonna just jump in and go. lol. but ive never taken my car on a road trip so i wasnt sure if it was that simple. but i guess it is. i just got a full tune up about 300 miles ago so im good on that. and what do u guys usually set ur tire pressure to? i have mine at 32.

Before a roadtrip, I just throw a few gallons of water in my trunk, make sure I have my tools, floorjack, and AAA card (just in case). That's all I've ever needed to make the trip to TN and back the last 10 times.

Jumper cables, bottle of coolant, a quart of oil, flashlight, twine, windshield fluid, and double check the pressure your spare tire (should be checking once a month). 
I set my tire pressure at 40lbs. I get 2-3+ MPG more but the trade off is that I feel more of the bumps in the road. Cost vs. comfort

will not start
I have changed the fuel pump, cam sensor, crank sensor and I have fire and gas to everything and it will crank but will not run what else can I do? Please help me

Hmm... 1000+ miles you say? This might be a over the top but here is a list my family uses whenever we travel to California.
1. 1 quart or 1 gallon of engine oil
2. 1 gallon of coolant
3. Bottle of windshield fluid
4. Check tire pressure
5. Bring spare tire, jacks, lug nut remover
6. Spare battery
7. Flash light
8. Check air filter
9. Check fuel filter
10. Jumper cables
11. Water/Food
12. Duct tape
13. Temp tire sealant bottle
14. Spare tail light, headlight bulbs
I believe if your car is in good shape, like not consuming oil does not have codes for major things, and doesn't consume coolant, then you only need at least the jacks, spare tire, and lug nut remover, and duct tape.
But make sure you have duct tape, because it is a life saver! Several, SEVERAL years ago, on our way to California we stopped at a hotel for one night and in the morning someone had smashed the drivers window and stole our camera case sitting in the car, luckily we took the camera into the hotel to take pictures and so all they got was the spare battery, extra film, and ect. But we used duct tape to temporarily seal up the window until we got back to Washington to fix it.

a concern i have before taking my max on a road trip is the rpms. when im in 5th gear on the highway, im over 3000 revs doing 65 or 70. it seems cruising at 3-4k would be hard on the engine for extended periods of time. let me know if im paranoid

i just came back from Florida with my 99 and no problems going or coming back...(pre trip)I had my mechanic check the engine and suspension,my tires a few months old brakes are not new but still in good condition...no overheating no nothing.
its a maxima it will last.

Over 6 years (95-01) Nissan made the Maxima knowingly well that it would be doing that for extended road trips, I just lay my faith on to the engineers who had the foresight to design such a short 5th gear that they knew the engine would be kept there for extended periods of time.... Wait... 3k is 74mph and 3.5k is 85mph, you shouldn't be cruising any higher than that anyways....

approx.
but on my road trip i did not go below 80 from Ohio to Florida 16 hours straight, still got 28MPG with a busted coil halfway down.

245 on a 17..youhave a pick of your rim and tire?? are they 17x7 or 17x7.5? that is huge and heard not very safe. I heard the biggest to go with was 235 and the best was a 225.
