Thanks for the great comments Dave and Torgus.

Who else is interested?? Need to get the group buy moving, otherwise...it may be doubtful that we'll be sponsoring. We've worked on lowering the price as much as possible so that you guys can see our quality of products up front. We don't cut corners, we are true to our designs and won't settle for second best.

Cheers,
Brian

The benefits are three-fold:

1) Allows you to put a cone-style filter on your MAF sensor.
2) Would enable you to extend it to a Cold-air intake with the addition of some couplers, clamps and extra length of tubing
3) Enables those looking for forced induction (turbo or supercharged) to hook up with their charge piping

and is durable because of the exterior finishing and stainless steel hardware.

Main issue with black anodizing is that it is commonly hexavalent chromium which we can't export to Europe due to their strict rules.

We are finishing up the sponsorship tomorrow. I think that we may be able to further discount these pieces, mainly for you guys to see our workmanship and help spread the word!

I am not new to this community, but our products are.

Will keep you posted!

I would like a blue, silver, or black one. My filter is blue...red would clash...but if you only have red I might still take one.

Red is our Signature color, but we could possibly do another run when this sells out in another color.

So $80. Is that with free shipping?

If I'm going to be taking pics that'll be used on your site...I'd like some sort of discount. Perhaps void shipping charges.

Also...for those who have went with this type of filter setup (cone)...how do you support your filter? Mine seems to rattle around alot. I have it secured to my strut bar with a metal wire...hoping for something more permanent.

If they are $40 to everyone on the website, I thought we were getting a discount for the .org???

Kickass product though - the stock plastic thing is a POS.

We discounted them to $40 from $55.00 by manufacturing many more than we originally anticipated. That is seemingly as low as we can go for the type of quality you get with this product.

While I appreciate the quality, I still wish you guys would have done a simpler one. Nobody really sells just plain old metal adapters anymore, not even on eBay. I don't want or need a fancy color or perfectly smooth edges, and all the bells and whistles. I may still pick one of these up, but when this batch is done with keep it in mind.

Thanks for the comments, I'll certainly take them under advisement. HTP is a Premium performance parts manufacturer, so... a part as you describe wouldn't normally fall into our concept of product designs, but we could certainly produce it given the need to meet your specified end-user requirements.

We are always looking for feedback and ideas for what problems you need solutions for.

Cheers,
Brian

As I said in another thread, I think the cheaper one would fit the Maxima community better. If the plates were cheaper in the first place, you would likely sell a LOT more of them. By cheaper I mean like the $15-$25 range vs. $40+ now.

That is great feedback, we'll see what we can do on the next batch and on other future products. Generally, we do more interactive product development with the community and will use that in the future so that our products better fit the needs of everyone.

Good to hear. I thought maybe I just sounded like a picky, annoying little ingrate But seriously, it's nice to know you guys are willing to work with us because the Maxima community generally doesn't get much love, and when we do it isn't always what we had hoped. Good luck to you, sir

I know firsthand what the lack of product support is for the Maxima community. That is the reason we are here; to aid in developing new products for everyone!

I always had trouble getting products for my Maximas, and detoured to another car that had greater support, but still was not satisfied, so we started HTP to make what we needed to solve our problems!

Now for my comments.

WOW. It looks great and this is definitely a sturdy piece. WAY better than the adapter I got from EBay which flaked on the corners so I couldn't screw it to the MAF anymore.

As for the filter, I was surprised it was AMSOIL (I didn't read the post where he mentioned that). I thought it was going to be some cheap no name ebay filter but was pleasantly surprised. I use AMSOIL ATF and motor oil so I am a big supporter of AMSOIL and think anything with there name on it is worth it.

OK, this is a stupid noobie question. If I get the MAF adapter and the 5" filter, can I get rid of all the plastic crap under my hood from the TB extending all the way to the air scoop? That is a LOT of junk...

Yes...but I would keep the resonator box (the one with the two fat hoses - one going to front valve cover and the other going to the IACV in the back).

Disregard the wire holding the filter. I'm waiting for you to make a bracket. Otherwise, the filter slaps the wheel well on bumps.
