Radiator does not fit

I just bought a radiator from NAPA auto parts and when I tried to put it in it did not fit. When I attach the fans to the radiator they stick up an inch above the radiator. Anyone any ideas how to fix that or it is just Mexican **** and I need to get a new one?

did you compare the radiators b4 installing? sometimes aftermarket parts may be obviously different from the original & sometimes there are subtle differences that can be worked around. are there multiple mounting holes for the fans? also it could be the wrong radiator in the box. side by side check will let you know what to do.

he is prolly a sleep but I was there when we did the work.
the radiator looks the same. the problem was that the fan shroud does not match the holes on the radiator and if we install it there will have to be some good rigging done.

I can't believe that a big store like NAPA would sell stuff that doesn't fit directly

Did you guys even try to swap it out for a replacement unit? Could've just been a manufacturing error, or packaged/labeled incorrectly.

did you make sure that the pegs at the bottom of the fan assembly are seated in the holes in radiator at those locations?

i just replaced mine yesterday afternoon with the one from Advance... it was the same price and same dimensions as the one that NAPA has. The fans fit really nice and it went in w/o problem.

Are you mounting the fans upside down?

Parts that don't fit right aren't a good deal.

I was able to get the radiator switched and the new one I got was from China and with a little work fits the radiator fan. I have been driving the car for couple of days and it has been good so far. I even changed my oil while working on the car. Thanks for the help everyone!
