Oops, now what do I do...

I did the "bake" the fog light method of removing the lens... everything was great until the last pull apart. Yeah, I got careless and broke the lower right gasket apart.(not just cracked)

I probably cant get another gasket so can I just fill the broken area gap with some type of silicone and layer it up to complete the seal?? I probably would need to fill both the housing and lens gap to even with the rest of the intact gasket, let it set and then lightly seal when joining the two together before re-installing on car... Am I dreaming my way out of my hasty stupid move?

Anything else I could do/anyone have an extra fog light gasket (Passenger) in good condition????

might as well try fixing it if the only other alternative is replacing it.

I used a silicone type of sealant when i cut mine in half for a conversion. I made sure it filled in all the cracks and put the two halves together and taped it and then set the foglight facedown. Came back the next day did a water test being turned the faucet and looked for water inside. Success. Good luck to you.

Funny enough i used some silicone meant for plumbing. I bought it at Wallymart, it's in a purple squeeze tube, it's really good stuff, but beware if you have to reopen the lense it's a real B3@tch. It dries super hard and clear.
