projector fittment in r34's

you think these will fit in the r34's with the halo? and could u get a bixenon hid kit for this projector? i would like to put theses in the low beam of the r34's with a bixenon function so i can put another projector in the high beam as a 3500k with the lexus 9006 capsule for the fog light setup.

It says they're foglight projectors....

be careful with the term kit while taking about HID's around here. Your gonna get a bunch of and But those are fog projectors. Go for TL projectors, those are all the rage in retro fittings

Those might be cool just as stand-alone fogs in the 4th gen. I've never been very happy with the fog lights anyways.

They'll fit and they'll give you fairly good output... but don't expect it to be OEM projector quality.

The bulb for those ebay projectors is an H7. The moving bulb bixenon hid kits, are designed to work w/halogen reflectors (even though they don't work worth a crap). The bixenon kit moves the bulb in and out to change the focal point on the reflector. If you tried this on the projector... you'd end up w/a really beam pattern.

If you want something w/bixenon capabilities in projector form, and that will fit in the R34's w/minimal cutting. then i'd stick w/a 2.5" projector that takes a d2s bulb....
-look at G37, G35, FX35, e46 bixenon version, LR3, e55, a6. Those are all fairly small.
-The TL, Murano's, Porshe's, New 350z (08) i think are all on the big side.... but do-able. (didn't someone sell a r34 TL retro?)
-Single xenon (non-moving) are RX330, TSX, e46 (Single version), s2000, EVO, SC430, SC460, don't have a high beam function (bixenon)

Edited- Thanks kzoosho

Yeah, TLs, from what I understand are too big to fit w/out a lot of hacking/cutting.

Make sure that if you use the OEM Maxima headlights, you're using ones that are clear, not fluted. the fluted glass will destroy ur beam pattern.

^ What he said. Don't put them in your OEM '96 headlights, that's a terrible idea.

I dont understand why you would need a Bixenon projector to run another projector next to it as the Hi beam.

I think you misunderstood. He's saying he wants to use the R34's halogen high beam reflector as a fog light. It's a terrible idea for an ACTUAL fog light, and the clashing colors of 3500k and whatever he ends up using in the projector will look like crap on the ground, but whatever.

No, he wants to retrofit a second projector into the spot where the high beams are now.

OP - buy "Blazer" projector fog lights - they're good ones. Black plastic cylindrical housing.

Now Im really confused, I read it as him doing three different things..

I think he wants a yellow foglight beam projector in the "high beam" portion, and a bi-xenon E46 projector in the "low beam" portion.

Don't bother with HID fogs... they'll make it so bright right in front of the car, that you won't be able to see the distance. Just use like ES300 or similar yellow Lexus projector fogs with halogen bulbs.

Ah.... not very original

Im not sure the 9006 capsule would fit inside the projectors.
Im running HIDs in my mini projecotrs and the light is fine with them. I have them aimed lower then my other projectors though.

you my friend have my favorite maxima retro.

how much room is there in the stock housings? I was wondering if it's big enough for two smallish 2.5" projectors to fit side by side. I've only seen one person other than you with dual projectors in stock housings, and they didn't have any clear pictures.

Really? Ive never seen another 4th gen with dual projectors in the OEM housings. Cefiros yes but not the regular OEM styles.
there isnt much room at all, and I dont really see two 2.5 projectors fitting. I completely hacked up my housing and also used one 2.5 projector and a smaller mini projector. I also cut the car for them to fit.

In all seriousness the only way to learn is to just do lots of research and learn from trial and error.
If yiou can vision it, then you can create it. I had mine all planned out in my head for a while, I then drew everything up and started mocking up templates.
