Need crankshaft position bolt size
For the short story just drop to the end
I was driving to work today and as I pulled into the parking lot my car started acting weird and shortly died before I was even able to park. I tried to start it a hundred times with no success. I'm exhausted now because I had to push it into a space which had enough slope that I thought I was going to die. (I should have just sucked up my pride and gotten help but oh well, I got it accomplished). Luckily I had a screw driver in my car and so I pulled the code from the ECU and it turned out to be 0802 (crankshaft position sensor). So I went back out to my car to check it out and come to find out the bolt that holds the sensor in is gone. So I thought about it and I believe a couple days ago I remember something hitting the bottom of my car pretty hard while I was driving. So I'm sure that was the bolt that came loose and fell out. The sensor stayed in place but came out far enough that the sensor could no longer do what it's supposed to. I can't believe I was able to drive a whole day without any problems.
Anyhow, the bolt for the Crank POS is gone and I need a new one. I called the dealership and all they have is a part number, no size. So does anyone know the size of the bolt that holds in the crankshaft position sensor?
