I was able to remove a Power Valve Actuator without taking of UIM, I didn't have time to replace the KS yet, but it seems that it's doable. My question is do I need to torque the PVA fasteners to a specific pressure and should I put anti-seize or another thing that makes the bolt stay tight no matter what, since it's sitting directly on the engine and undergoes constant vibration (and I think the way to remove the bolt after wards is to heat it up with the torch).
#2 on my pic
At least navigate me to the proper FSM section.

I can't answer your question, but curious to know if you changed the KS yet? Just checked my 99 codes and have the same problem.

Man, it gave me amazing results. First of all who we are without our wives I still couldn't fit my hand in there, by my wife could.

Yesterday I finished this project, started up the car, in a couple of seconds check engine light went out by itself I didn't even have to reset my ECU. The same day I got my inspection without any problems.

Performance

The car is devil, now when the it is tuned up with right proportions for combustion for the gas I put in (93) I just have to top the gas pedal and right away I am getting squashed into the sit, no more hassle under 3000 RPM!!!
BTW my check engine light was for O2 sensors, but I think it's reading where wrong because without KS the car adjusts itself for the lowest octane gas, and I was putting higher that's why the oxygen sensors read it incorrect, because the KS itself doesn't trigger CE light, but I am telling you if you can do it it totally worth it

If you need any help I can guide you through. Some pictures would be helpful. BTW I hope your car is not calispec, right, because it is real pain in the neck.

Good luck, man.

No. That's what garages THINK they have to do and why it's so expensive. Check the stickies...great pix and directions. But, if you look at prev posts here..pretty straight forward. You just need a small hand to pull the nut off..put back.
