swap ecu?
My question is my boy has a 99 maxima auto . Can he use a 5sp ecu from a 99? Will car start and drive fine? What is the pro or con if there is any?

If he has an auto then no, he cannot use a 5spd ECU.

^^^ he beat me by one min

well the 99 ECU has the immobilizer so I think you need to get that reprogrammed to work.

I do not think the manual ECU will work in an automatic car.
Plus all that codes that will pop up.
