I'm not sure how you guys are getting those high MPG rating....they seem to be higher then what Nissan claims.

Nissan claims nothing. the EPA claims the numbers which are then quoted by Nissan

96 Maxima with 190k right now. When in good shape I get about 20mpg i town. No matter the shape I get 29mpg @80mph. For some reason the mechanical issues have not affected my highway mileage. I've been thinking to try going around 70mph on my next long trip to see if it will brake 30mpg.

I'm getting somewhere around 22 mpg--city driving mixed with very little highway.

95 GXE-5 here, getting 400+ miles to the TANK (lol) on highway driving with the A/C on. City is a DIFFERENT story. anywhere between 250-300 to the tank.

It gets way better mileage than my 3rd gen but then again its a 5speed..
