A32 CEL Decoder

Got fed up with people bitching about undefined codes in the existing 'decoder', so over the last few days I made this:

pmohr's A32 CEL Decoder

It's got every code from the FSM, including any AT faults that set a P or MIL code. Most of the emissions (and most notably, the O2 codes) are year specific, so be sure to select the correct year at the top.

If it comes up saying 'code not found', then either you typed in the wrong code number (typo or misread from the CEL), or it's possible, though very unlikely that the code exists but is not listed in the FSM.

I encourage as many people as possible to give it a try, by all means PM me if you find any typos, incorrect information, etc. I want to make this thing perfect so we have no more 'undefined code' posts.

Great thing you got set up there...however I found a typo on my first test with it. I did 0905 for a 1996 (which is the code I just recently overcame) and the FSM scanned image is right but the code description says o2 sensor fault which is wrong. The other years are right and say Crankshaft Position Sensor (POS)

Props to you, definitely the easiest way to look up code meanings.

Ah, thanks, will fix. Might've gotten a little too copy/paste happy after dealing with all of those O2 sensor codes.

You're the man pmohr! This definitely helps, a few of my o2 sensor codes show up undefined on the other one.

Great job pmohr!

Just a FYI....My 98 Max just gave me a code today. My code reader gave me 0153, which came up with 'not found' with your neat little program.

You mean P0153? An O2 sensor code? This is purely for the blinking CEL code, though I'm probably going to add P-code search functionality since this isn't anywhere near the first time people have tried entering P-codes...

Alright, a few quick hacks and you can now enter any of the OBD-II P-codes (including the P before the 4 digits, as that's what decides which key it searches the database by) into the search box as well as the 4 digit flashing CEL code.

Yep, all of the codes from each year's respective FSM. Images are also year specific, just...because, I guess (for example, check out 0304, it's noticeably different between all of the years).

I got bored. The biggest part of it was actually putting all of the codes into mysql tables, the single php page is only ~2k.

Little update to the page, changes the POSTs to GETs so you can now bookmark or otherwise link directly so a specific year and code definition. Link added at the bottom for...ease of use? Sure.

Flame the newbie, then link them to the answer. This is how it works, people.

For example, knock sensor code for a '96 - http://boredmder.com/ecucodes/index....1996&DTC=P0325 , or swirl control valve for a '99 - http://boredmder.com/ecucodes/index....1999&DTC=P1130
