What's so hard to understand ?

2006 Toyota Corolla has 4 cylinders and 1.8 engine (in case you still don't get I will explain more: compare to your 4th gen Maxima that has 6 cylinders and 3.0 engine).

Let me know if you have any questions Bro

No, he was asking about this awesome V4 engine you say it has (which haven't been produced for automotive use in what, 40 years?).

Trying to make fun of him when it's you that fail. Interesting.

V4 is used to describe a 4 cylinder car:
How simple is that ?

You aren't seriously going to debate that a Corolla has a V4 engine, are you?

I wasn't talking about the shape of the engine; all I wanted to write is that it's a 4 cylinder. It's much easier to write v4 instead of "4 cylinder".

And I don't think we should get so **** about these abbreviations.

It's not about being ****.

Point being I4 would've worked just as well, and would've been correct. You are aware that I4 and V4 are specifically about the configuration of the engine? V == V shaped block, I == inline.

By saying V4, you were indeed talking about the shape of the engine.

2k2 maxima got 30mpg

I took my car across country from California where i moved from to Louisiana. IT was Horribly long but made it better when i found out I got 30 miles per gallon going 65-70 MPH. I have a 126k miles on it I was so scared I would break down but well Hopefully it makes it as long as my civic did it finally broke after about 320k miles before it needed a new trany and engin...I love My SEXIMA!!!

31.8 mpg @ 216k miles is pretty awesome man. I wish my car was as efficient and reliable as your Maxima. My mileage is almost always about 25-27 miles per gallon, sadly not as efficient as your ride.

U guys dont know what ur talking about... My maxima has a 3L I-6 or "straight 6"... bahahaha thats the same thing as saying a corolla with a v4..... i= all the cylinders "I"nline or in a row

where as v- is for a v shaped configuration with half the cylinders on one side and the other half on the other... there is even an h4 and h6 found in subaru's h is for horizontally opposed... mabe my maxima has a rotory engine like some of the mazda's.

I have given up correcting all the folks who call any 4 cyl engine A "V4".

I have given up correcting folks (in the Northern Americas) who insist that a "BISON" is a "BUFFALO" - guys - it isn't even the same genus.

Or the fowl called turkey - which is gobbled up on Thanksgiving - it really isn't a TURKEY.

But then... wasn't it Goebbels who said... repeat a lie a million times, and that becomes the TRUTH.

In this age of short attention spans, it is futile correcting the knowledge gathered from MTV, you know !!!

I worked at Tri-City Nissan in Tallmadge from '96 to '00 and probably performed the PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) on that vehicle?

my car gets about 26mpgs highway through a bone stock car and a 5 speed, why all the doubters? My 2000 z28 gets about the same mileage and that is a low 12 second automatic car.

Lame! I get the stock values for MPG last time I calculated it was about 18 MPG, but maybe thats because I don't drive till it goes into the orange light, I usually fill up as soon as it gets below the last line

31mpg? lol....yah...Pretty sure you drove like a grandma or miscalculated but congrats non the less.

26k for our cars is hard to achieve with the age.

i think its a common misconception to take your mileage of the tank and divide that by the volume of your tank. What I do is I fill up my tank to the top every time and divide the number of gallons it took to fill up. You can do it on a half a tank, you dont have to wait till the orange light to come on to determine what your mpgs are.

Yup, yup. The MSRP label says it was sold to Tri-City Motors.

Hope you did a good job on the PDI...it's still running, but then again it only has 84,000 miles on it now.

One of my gripes is that my 99 i30 with only 80k miles get horrible gas mileage but I think that there is something wrong with my car. It feels weak at lower rpms than then get pretty strong at uppers. I have an extremely heavy foot though.

I will try to get an exact gpm measurement. The way I'll do this is by filling up my tank and resetting my trip counter. During my next fill-up I will divide the trip counter by the amount of gallons it took to fill the car. After a few fill ups I should get a pretty accurate number even though it could be done after the second fill up.

I've had several Expeditions, and the Eddie Bauer's had the AveMPG readout. Almost always was in the 13mpg range for combined (mostly city) driving. Would get 18mpg straight freeway driving, just like my F150 S/Crew with the 5.4

She must really have a lead foot...
