Need advice, WRECKED my 95 SE

So after so many great years of service and many mods, I go and and mess things up. I smashed the front end in just above the bumper.Need all new lights, hood, radiator, bracket holding radiator, maybe condenser, bumper skin, windshield, 2 airbags. It seems the damage did not get to the engine. Ok the estimate is 3500 maybe a few hundred more for misc.

My problem is that there are so many many mods in this car that I enjoyed having. I really hate to lose the car. Maybe its time to move on. So what should I do? It has about 170K on engine, but alot of new items just from wear and tear. Im not keen on spending money and getting into a car payment, Have 5 to 6 thousand bucks to play with. Dont really want to buy new b/c of depreciation right off the lot.

1. Sell it as parts car to enthusiast, and buy something else. What then?
1a. 02-03 SE 6 to $7K, is that possible? no payments.
1b. 07 08 SE used $20k with payments
1c. New 08 Altima 2.5s $20k 4 years to pay,(trying to save on gas)
1d. New hybrid $25K
1e. Wait for 09 max to hit showrooms, NOT!!!
2. buy a parts car and have them fix it. Is it cost effective?

3. Buy a good 95 96 and put my mods on it. Again, is it cost effective?

4. Buy a scooter and borrow moms car here and there, I work 25 miles from
home. Im not so sure about this one.

Any way, let me know what you think. Its very much appreciated. For those ppl that will be asking if i want to sell something off my car, my answer will be maybe, but please PM or email and I will reply about sale possibility when I can. I am in the Houston area If anyone can help me out with just getting this car back on the road in the mean time. If its not worth it, let me know that too. Thanks everyone

5-6k is alot to play with. you can find a great 4th gen out there somewhere for 3-5k, maybe less, use that extra 1-2k to get it up to "par", throw your mods on it and call it yours again.

or you could try and repair your current ride, but you're buying into alot of trouble down the road. IT WILL NOT DRIVE THE SAME. believe me.

you might could find a car with some rear end damage or something, and combine the 2 cars to make one awesome car lol. depending on how much time/patience you have on your hands.

i wouldn't go out and get a new car that your current parts won't work on, because that's all $$$ lost. try to make some lemonade man.

No insurance money, kinda sucks but I dropped collision. Did you transfer all the mods urself black maxed95 or have a shop do it? I dont have the time anymore so would need a shop. Just worried that everything I transfer out will cost alot in the end.

i transferred the mods myself. Ya if you cant do it your self it may end up costing more than its worth and you might as well start over with a 02-03 3.5L. What mods did you have?

I had y-pipe, custom 2.25 exhaust, VB for tranny with cooler, rear sway, fr. torsion bar, HR, GR-2 shocks, CAI, Remote start, Alpine DVD w/ custom built in screen and NOS (still full tank) probably some other stuff I cant remember. Thats alot of re-installment. Maybe I'll just let it go to an enthusiast. What do you guys think I should let it go for? Theres an easy 3000+ bucks right there.

i would buy another 4th gen (i would go low milage i30 though), swap mods, and part out the wrecked one. in the end you would probably spend very little out of pocket.

It looks worse then mine !!! Check to see if it hit the engine at all,if it did,you might need to get the engine mounts checked out.

I'm working on getting my support core off,but I know no-body right now who knows how to weld,so I'll have to wait.

Still undecided

If I was more handy with more time and the right tools I would attempt to fix myself. Im really thinking of getting the parts and have the shop do the job. Its gonna run me about 2500. Snowboi1289, was ur wreck pretty bad? Having gone this far, have you had second thoughts about doing it urself?

It seems that most are suggesting to fix or get another 4th gen. Im leaning that way but still throwing other ideas around. Thanks for all the input guys

I'd get another 4th gen and do it myself. All your mods are pretty easy to do. Exhaust can be done just have a shop replace all the bolts on the "new car" for $40-80. Suspension can be done in a weekend for a first timer. Sway bars front and rear are real easy. If you take the main unit for the remote starter and the dvd player out someone could install that for you

Try to find someone on the org who lives near you, get em some beer and have your mom make food. you can work out the price once he's drunk and stuffed

I wouldd fix it if i was you but if things go really bad then take out w/e parts you put into it and reinstall on your new car...if you decide to buy one.
