A/C line condensation

I'm getting lots of condensation on my low pressure A/C line. This is the line that goes from the compressor to the firewall on the passenger side of the car. There's so much condensation that its also dripping near the compressor. The A/C blows real cold but its been like this since I bought the car. Is this a symptom of an overcharged A/C?

normal. if it was overcharged it would not be blowing cold. high side line should always be warm and low side line cold when the a/c is functioning properly.

The sweating is just a indication that it's (suction line) temperature is below the dew point. So the moisture in the air is condensing on it. Kind of like a cold soda can becomes wet right after you take it out of the refrigerator. To determine an overcharge you have to find out the low side refrigerant saturation temp. (using gauges) and measure the line temp.(clamp on thermometer) at the outlet of evap. Mine seems to run at about 7 degrees warmer at outlet than the evap saturation temp.

Lots of people would love to have that "problem", which is obviously not a problem at all. You my friend have a properly functioning AC system operating in a high humidity environment.

Be thankful!
