I'm back after 5 years!

Hello everyone.

I come up as a newbie but I've actually been around since 1998, since the "Andy" and "Russel" days. If you know those 2 names, you are on old timer!

Anyway, my first Maxima was a new 98 SE Auto, and then after two years got a new 00 GXE 5-speed. After finishing college, I gradually lost interest in modding, and just rode my Maxima as a commuter car. That's about the time I lost the log-in and the password to the org too. That was 5 years ago and I stopped coming to the org since then. I sold my GXE in 05 and rode a beater Accord for a few years. Well, I wanted a V6 sports sedan again and started looking. After almlost buying a brand new Legacy 3.0 R, I decided to save lots of money and decided to get another 4th gen in good shape. The first 98SE I had was an auto, but it was gonna be a 5-speed this time. After observing the used car market for 3 months, my dream car finally surfaced on Craigslist.

Silver 1998 SE 5-speed, FULLY LOADED with every single available option for that year, and with only 70,000 miles. It practically was brand new. It was almost in mint condition. I couldn't believe it was 10 years old.

Anyway, I snatched the car up from the previous owner in a heartbeat.

I'm not gonna go crazy modding this time. All I'm gonna do is lower it. With the first 2 Maximas I put in Nitro, Y-pipe, intake, tint, $1500 aftermarket stereo systerm, Cattback and all. But this time, all I wanna do is nice clean handling mods. Just FSTB, RSB, Springs and Shocks. No more. Maybe I got old since the college days...

But anyways, I'm glad to be back!

modding will NEVER stop. you say your just going to do FSTB, RSB, Springs and shocks/struts. Just wait. You will find something else to add to it.

Nice find though on the '98.

Welcome back, ArcticMax! I vaguely remember seeing that name on the .org back in the day (I have been around longer than my join date suggests).

You got a serious problem. You need to seriously check yourself into the OG Forum before you go any further. Curious, were you around when I hosted the .org for couple months before it became .org? And were you a cast member of "As The Maxima World Turns"?

Btw, how much did your shiny new ride cost?

Welcome home,
Dr J

How come I don't have access to that forum? I've been around since 2002! Just kidding, I don't really consider myself that OG, I've just been around quite a while. I honestly miss the days of the white-and-green Maxima.org

For some reason I don't have access to that forum...hmm... I wasn't a member of the "As the maxima world turns", but I think I remember when you hosted the org for a few months. I paid $5700 for my ride. I think I got a good deal considering how low the miles were. It it was black it would've been perfect though... Not a very big fan of sterling mist.
