Short shifters

So I've been trying to do my research and figure out which is best. It seems some are really good and some can be really bad. I was wondering what you guys use and what you suggest. Thanks

Ive installed a few B&M's, a Topspeed B&M knock off, an ebay "Nismo" cheapy, and cut a few shifters down. Nothing compares to what came in my car when I bought it. Its a Pacesetter, or maybe the more rare SMC, which is adjustable with a delrin pivot. Its smoother, less notchy, and best of all it does not buzz from metal on metal or poor quality control. Too bad its not really going to help you as they are no longer made.

I'm not a fan of STS' on these cars. Just get a poly bushing for the stock shifter.

I have the OBX-R. I like it but it didn't come with the bolt to install so I had to have a shop custom machine one. It was probably the sellers fault I bought it from on Ebay.

Oh alright. It seems like all the good aftermarket companies are going out of business. Not that this is on topic but could it be because everyone would rather buy cheap eBay parts running the legit companies out of business? Anyways I think I'll go with a twm shifter.

yes. there is definitely a link there. good companies invest in R&D to make parts. ebay companies copy and sell for substantially cheaper. less people buy the real thing. the real thing dies.

TWM FTW... nuf said. everybody loves the B&M as well as the Pacesetter but GL finding one... Personally have had my TWM installed for coming up on a year and haven't had a single issue. Quality is excellent, their ***** are amazing as well, and the kit comes with spacers for the heatsheild (which i didnt use). Only con i have is in the summer with the steel **** it gets toasty, and in the winter is gets crazy cold. FIX: no steel *****...

oh, and its 2" shorter...

I got a pacesetter and the only complaint i have is when it gets hot the shifter gets a bit stiffer to shift... i think a good poly bushing will fix that but aside from that its not notchy feeling and its adjustable....but again....good luck finding one..

IIRC it is threaded to our stock threads. I just ordered their weighted **** so I never tried to use the stock one. Honestly though, when your getting your **** off in the first place, your prolly gonna screw it up. I know I did!

Ya thats true and their **** is only like 25 bucks right? Might as well just order that and I'll prolly get a new shift boot too just to make everything nice.
