Most of the parts are off my 1997 SE. There will be a few A33 5th Gen parts (00-01). Just a basic log of how much things weigh. Will eventually add links to other threads with weight reduction or weights of different parts off the A32.

If you have weighed anything from your 4th Gen and want to add to the thread just post up item, weight and what year car. This thread should aid in getting an idea on shipping quotes, the weight of parts in general, and weight reduction ideas.

im sure the difference is negligible. but they were Nitto 225-50-17s.

tire weights can vary - there are tires in 235-45-17 that weigh as much as ~28lbs that I know of and tires that are as light as 21lbs in that size.

heh.. awesome thread idea man.... but there are about 15,000 parts in a car... soo... yah... weighting everything and taking pictures will take a loooong time... but it is good to get a gen idea on what makes our cars 3000+ pounds...

true, i think we could get some use out of it. all my weights are just aprrox. weights as my scales arent the best. but its close should you need to ship a part and wanted to hop on usps or something like that to get an idea on shipping. or vice versa.

i got heaps more to do, but like you say it just takes time. im using www.allyoucanupload.com to upload the images and selecting the thumbnail for forums link. again if anyone else has a camera handy and some scales and has some time pitch in.

i thought the small photos added a bit of personality to the thread.
