Problem with the fog lights...

Here it goes...

I had PIAA Spark Blues on before. The bulb blew out on one side so I decided to replace the pair of bulbs. I replaced them with OEM H3 bulbs and they were running for about a month now.

My fog lights went out the other day. I didn't think my bulbs blew already because they are fairly new. I decided to take it out and look anyways. The conclusion... the bulbs are fine.

I checked my fog light fuse and it was blown. I went out and bought a pack of variety fuses and replaced the 15amp fuse. After I turned on the fogs, the fuse blew. Since the variety pack came with one of each fuse, I had to go out and get a pack of five 15amp fuses and put another one in there and it blew again.

I checked all the other fuses under the dash and the fuse box in the engine area, they are all OK. I even replaced the fog relay.

Can anyone tell me what the problem is? If a shortage is the problem, how can this be fixed?

What is the wattage on the bulbs? Also check wiring and anything that the bulb can be contacting.

It's gotta be shorting out against something, somewhere (or, as Freeway said, might be the wrong bulbs in there). Check the power lead going to the fog bulbs, make sure the rubber shield (IIRC) was put into place and it's not bent over or anything.

They are standard 35w bulbs.

I guess I would have to rip everything out and check. I will get back to you guys this afternoon after I check everything.

Thanks so far.

Thank you all for your help!

Problem fixed... the rubber covering the point where the wires connect were out of place and the metal were touching around the housing.
