Salt and corrosion

Pardon my ignorance, but would you be doing that for cosmetic reasons, or to preserve performance/reliability? I haven't yet decided on a replacement suspension for my 4th gen, but my thinking is that as long as the corrosion is limited to cosmetics and not impact damper life, I'd be sold on purchasing a system like yours.

Good luck. To me they look a lot like K Sports. Hope they last this winter for you. My K Sports went to hell in a handbasket in less than 1 year. All 4 blew completely. The ride got real stiff in winter, and the roads were less fun. Apparently mine had crappy selas that expanded and contracted with the weather change causing them to leak. I learned my lesson and basically recommend people in cold areas to ride 'stock' for winter, and coilovers in warm weather. A few locals do that, and have their coilovers still fine.

Wait for his review 6 months from now. Don't bother with coilovers around here yet

Damper life... specifically the sleeves. Salt hits the threads, you're locked into a single position forever.

Good advice hector...

skuccio - maybe some kind of "waxy" rustproofing that can be rinsed off with brake cleaner or gumout when you need to adjust?

I know people who have had these on other cars for years. One dude has had them in my area for about a year now.

I plan on upgrading or sellign the car in about a year anyways.

Update... shocks are riding a lot better now. They seem to be 'broken in'. Still stiffer than stock but nowhere near as stiff as when I first got them on the car. Just gotta make final adjustments for the height...
