removing the AC evaporator

Does anyone know how to do this? I am trying to clean leafs and other stuff out of it, that have gotten in thought my 95s defective cowl top cover. basically my drain is plugged for the AC evaporator and water is leaking all over the passenger leg area. I replaced my carpeting already and am replacing the cowl top cover now. In the TSB they just say clean it out, but give no instructions on how to do it link to TSB. I have all the Nissan service manuals for every 4th gen year on CD, but there isn't anything in any of them about removing the AC evaporator.

Thanks for any help

There is a clip and two to three screws to lower the bottom part of the evac housing. Pull the bottom down without fully removing it and reach in to clean it.

The drain outlet is just plugged into the firewall so you may be able to clean it from the outside.

Yes I have done that but it only opens like an inch. I will see what I can do from the under side. Thanks
