Wet floor board, any suggestions?
The front passenger floor board of my '95 is sopping wet. I wanted to check and see if anybody has experienced this before I tear into it this weekend.
My guess at this point is that the A/C condensation is either backing up due to a plugged drain or there is a hole in some sort of drainage ducting near that area.
Anybody happen to know how the A/C condensation is collected and drained to the outside of the car?

My friends car(non maxima) would actually regurgitate water out of the feet AC vent. I think it hated me though, or maybe it was the flip flops; it never seemed to spit on me when I had shoes on...
Check the obvious spots before really digging for the location. GL with not getting any mold too.

I have a '92 Stanza that did the same thing from day 1. It was the air conditioner. The A/C was dealer installed and they left something loose or something and every time I turned left sharply water would splash out on the passenger side floorboard. It will ruin your carpet and backing pretty quickly if you don't get it fixed and keep it dry.

Yeah i had a problem similar but it was a rear door seal that leaked water in and it went all underneath the pass seat and soaked all the carpet. It was fun i basically tore out all the carpet, both seats put a heater in side the car and cleaned all the metal with a mix of bleach and hot water + a rag. put all the underlay in the washer (lol yes i wrecked the pump lol), and let it hang dry in the basement..took me a good 2 days but it was worth it.

the AC moisture in the drain is dripping water from condensation. the runoff wouldnt smell like coolant if it was in fact the AC drainage.
if the water smells like coolant you got a whole other problem.

Thanks for all the replys. I wasn't getting e-mail notifications for some reason is why I haven't been back sooner.
It is definitely the drain for the A/C condensation and it's leaking at the firewall.
TSB says to pull the evaporator and shop-vac it and the drain tube.
Anybody managed to clean the drain tube in place without pulling the evaporator??
Like everything else on the Max, the end of the drain tube is in a very tight place on the firewall.
