Rear suspension sag with Progress/Illuminas
Hey guys...haven't posted in a while due to school but finally got the itch to have this issue addressed...
So I had brand new progress springs and Illuminas installed about four months ago. Right after the install I noticed that the rear is lowered more than the front, and thus appears to sag. Now, I have absolutely nothing in the trunk save for the spare tire, i.e. no heavy subs, amps, etc. The crude finger gap test also reveals that the rear is, in fact, lowered more than the front. I thought that the front springs may need more time to settle, but the front has not gotten any lower with time/mileage
My understanding was that progress springs provide, at the very least, an even drop. I've also heard that progress springs may also give an aggressive, raked, look, where the front is slightly lower than the rear. Of course, I'm not getting that.
Any ideas what could be wrong? The car is a 98 SE 5spd with about 129K. I had all the usual suspension accessories (boots, mounts, etc) replaced when the struts and springs were replaced.
I've been scratching my head over this for a while, so any help is appreciated.
