Oil on rear coil packs...

So two of my three rear coil packs were dripping oil when I took them out tonight.....Reason I looked it cause I had some mishaps after some strait racin....

Disclaimer: kids do not street race. it is dangerous and you could be hurt....

I am leaning towards cracked valve cover but just wondering if there could be another cause....

Did you check the gaskets, or jump straight to a broken part diagnosis?

Nope....gaskets were not checked.....It was like 11pm....forgot about them....I just felt that it was alot of oil there so cracked cover was the first thing that jumped into my head....

Yeah it is probably just the O rings on the spark plug tube. you can purchase them individually, or in a gasket kit. While your back there may as well do the rear valve cover gasket.

I got the same problem, i recently had my rear valve cover gasket done (it was leaking outside). It turns out one out of the 3 coils was drenched in oil. Does changing the O ring on the spark plug tube require taking off the valve cover (as well as the IM) again?
