Replaced mostly everything Still hard starting?
It all started about 8 months ago. I go to change my orginal fuel filter with 142k on it. It would take a couple cranks but it would start. It got progressivly worse and worse. Changed my car to a 5 spd. It got better. Alot better. But latley its so hard to start my car I hate waking up in the morning knowing that it'll take me at least 5 minutes to start my car. It'll just crank and crank then backfire...Then crank some more. Till I have the courage enough at 6 oclock in the morning to roll my car down the driveway and pop the clutch out to start it. So far i've replaced the fuel pump, ckps, knock sensor, 02 sensors, spark plugs, fuel filter, and starter and it's actually gotten worse. I've also grounded out my starter that helped for the next couple of starts. Does anybody else have any other ideas what could be making my car start so horribly? I've hooked multiple scanners up to my car including the new solus by snap on and I had 4 teachers look at it and they have no idea why my car would be doing this. I've basically given up. I need this car to last me another 6 months and I don't know if its gonna last. The only thing I don't understand is, is that when I do get it running. It runs PERFECT. 28+Mpg on the highway and 20+mpg in the city. NO CEL. It idles at a perfect 650. I'm so lost I want to give up on it but I just can't. Anybody have any ideas what I could be missing?
Edit: For the all things that I have not replaced I.e. coils I have tested every single sensor and scoped every single electronic item including my fuel injectors and everything is fine.

EDIT: You might have already done so, since you mentioned you grounded the starter, in my case I wen overkill, I had 4 ground wires running everywhere you could imagine and still had somewhat poor starts, allthough it was 80% better I still didn't get PERFECT starts until I did my swap and used powertools to sand & wirewheel the bellhousing surfaces, starter, and starter bellhousing.
