Vibrations after replacing both front & rear brakes
I just had my front and rear brakes replaced. They used ceramic pads for the front and regular for the rear. They also buffed up my front rotors by applying a swirl marks which is supposed to reduce vibration. Now, problem is that my car experiences excessive vibrations at 70 mph and above. What's going here? Could they have caused this by replacing my brakes and buffing up my front rotors? Please help anyway. Brakes work fine, no more squeaking or high pitch noise. I can't stand this vibration at high speeds. If it's not them, what else can it be. Please help!!!
Thanks.
Thanks.

Buffing up rotors? I've never heard of this process. Rotors get machined or cut, not buffed. By machining a rotor or cutting it (same thing) you remove a slight bit of material and leave a flat parallel surface. This assures smooth brake operaion. If your getting a vibration when you apply your brakes your rotors need to be resurfaced/machined/cut whichever term you wish to use.

I just did my rear brakes last week. I took the rotors off and took them to get resurfaced ($10 per rotor). Put on the Nissan pads and and new hardware kit ($39 for pads and $16 for hardware kit). Since last week I haven't heard a peep from the rear brakes and no vibration. My old setup (cheapo pads) squealed all the time. Plus with the old setup, sometime I hear this groan when I back up. Now all is well.

hmmm, usually this means the rotors need to be shaved. If they used brand new rotors, they may have to shave them a little to fit better with the pads. I used to have that problem all the time in my last car.... However, you should REALLY BABY the brakes for like 300 miles of mainly street driving before you determine if the brakes just need to break in.
