Why would you need to replace the bearings? This is one of the longest lasting thing on the car unless you live at the end of a mile long unpaved driveway. You only get one of those in New Mexico.
Realistically, the race is never the item that would fail, unless it is scored from a bad roller. So it is alright to leave the race in place and just replace the roller cage assembly.

Well that all fine except that they are not sold that way. The front bearings are available only as a complete set. You should never replace just the race on a bearing set anyhow, unless you are really on the cheap. Rears are sold only with the entire hub assembly.
I have seen a lot of Maximas that have traveled well paved roads for many miles that need the bearings replaced. The condition of the roads does not seem to matter, they simply don't hold up for the long haul. Very common Nissan problem.

yar it is, so far on my 99, ive replaced the right/front bearing (needed bearing, hub and knuckle due to me taking so long to fix), the left/front bearing/hub i just replaced last week, now i find my right rear is shot as well and have to replace that. me thinks it had something to do with the garbage ebay coilover/agx setup i finally removed from the car this week and replaced with intrax lowering springs/kyb agx which despite what others have said about intrax spring, rides very very nice/quiet and not bouncy at all.
