ebay body kits...

despite many bashings ive heard about them im still very interested... ive been looking at the r34 rear and sides and the cyber front. the reason is that the r34 front is not smooth and rounded like the rest of the kit and this cyber doesnt look bad at all...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CYB-F...spagenameZWDVW

my question is... how many of you have bought these and how do they fit up is the install easy? decent quality? im not really looking for your comments like wow thats a crappy idea lol im sure every1 has their own opinion. again, just fitment issues, is it worth it. thanks

(pearl white paint 1999)

also, the bumper lights are missing on all the cyber front kits wats up w/ that?

It's made of fiberglass and not pre-drilled some modification will b needed, you'll also prob gonna want to mold the bumper to the fender and paint the whole front end. A lot of guy don't like these because one little tap on the bumper and something cracks or separates--> this is y most perfer the flex materials like in the stillen kit and even these are prone to damage.

yah, I would avoid that for 3 reasons.

1.fiberglass (You don't want a fiberglass kit, Cheap yes, but very breakable)

2.The fitments could always be an issue with an after market kit but it all depends on the quality of construction and who puts it on.

3. No warranty if anything happens or if something breaks...

duraflex goes by a couple of different names depending on manufacturer, they're not new on the market they've been around for yrs, I don't have a kit- I like a cleaner look but if I did I'd prob go for just the front lip that's just my flavor. Do as you please but remember all kit require tenderness, they can b easily damaged esp paint.

Well I have Stillen front lip, ebay sarona knock off sides, and a real sarona rear bumper.

I originally bought the sarona knockoff and they shipped me a skyline back bumper, so I ended up selling it and purchased a REAL sarona bumper. and OMG, quality cannot ever compare. The sorona is hard like your quarter panel compared to the ebay bumper. The sideskirts I ended up installing. Fitment was EXTREMELY TIGHT. I got lucky that I didn't have to do any modification to make it fit. Both ends around the wheels are streched out. After a year on the car, it made it through ice and snow, and constant abuse from passengers hitting their foot on it.

Would I recommend them to you? NO. Save you money and buy something with better quality. Remember, you get what you pay for!

Iv got a ebay fiberglass kit and it take alot of mods to fit. I like fiberglas over duraflex since fiberglass will crack but can be fixed very easy. It actually takes a nice deal of stress to crack the fiberglass kit.

Looks like the outer parts of the rear bumper underneath the quarter panel don't quite match up. By the way, you should seriously consider a drop...

kzoosho, if ur gunna rock low profiles like that you really need bigger rim size and a drop. I dont know how Michigan is but in NY people would key that up in a second for looking ghetto.

those people must be pretty ghetto themselves.

The only kit i had experience with on ebay was a R33 kit....i couldnt get the rear bumper on, it required extensive body work. so i sold it. never even tried the front.

ebay kits will require alot of modifications and if you are not experinced in fiberglass and bodywork i would stay away from them.
