I thought the same thing until I read his question again:
"where do you put in your oil?"
Yikes

if you want your car to have +2MPG boost, then put it where you refrigerant cooler is. I am pretty sure it is low, you dont want to get stranded in the middle of nowhere now!
EDIT: or take the 4 screws off the valve cover, then take the screws out on the coil packs, then pour it into the well where your spark plug sits. the more oil, the bigger the spark and the better the feeling of knowing that you should've gone to Firestone or such!!!!!

STOP WITH ALL THESE STUPID THREADS......
Seriously, there is a free seach feature.......use it..........
Most all questions can be answered that way...plus you get the information when it was fresh and a "new" problem.
If you have a different spin on a situation, or a unique problem (like that z32 brake thread I saw a day or two ago) that is what this forum is for, advice, and experience.
and willard00 take a look at my cardomain........you'll understand.....
I have been coming in here more often of late and have noticed quite a number of useless threads, which get locked pretty quick thankfully, what I'm surprised about is that some people took this thread seriously......

You're not exactly helping the situation by posting a 'fake' stupid thread. With your post count and join date (likely the only thing a newbie will judge people by at first) they'll think that it's okay to just start posting random threads ending with 'gotcha!' or similar.
The more experienced here really should lead by example.
Anyway, IBTsecondL.

For the first, granted, a search could find that relatively quickly (For those who can, even generic stuff found through Google, etc would be applicable) but for the second, if searched threads were outdated, new products have come out, whatever, this thread would actually make sense.
Now granted had the title of this useless thread been 'where do i fill my oil?!?!1one' then yes, would've been locked quickly and most likely deleted.
But yes, there are too many useless threads in the 4th gen forums. Always been like that, will most likely always be like that regardless of how much mods try to keep it from being so. That's just how newbies are (well, the intelligent ones are always a nice change of pace). Short of reviewing every thread before creation (meaning a far-delayed post time given the amount of traffic here), there's almost no way to keep crap threads out of here. Places like All Motor or similar advanced could be kept down by having reviewed threads only because overall traffic is lesser and there's maybe 30 or 40 people that post in there regularly.
