Pre-painted bumpers/parts off e-bay?

Anybody order any of these pre-painted body parts (or more specifically front bumpers) off of ebay? I was looking at this in particular:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-P...spagenameZWDVW

My Max is in almost pristine condition except for some front bumper damage. The guy I bought it from had a mishap at a car wash and it scratched up the lower part of the bumper on the drivers side and bent it slightly (can't tell unless you look really closely or notice that the driver's fog is off). For ~$300 shipped this wouldn't be bad.

Also considering just getting a body kit, the front lip will cover up ~85% of the damage...

The prepainted bumper will have showroom-quality paint with no color aging and will be noticeably different than your 10 year old paint job.

I got a fender from it....no tinting to match so it looks a little different than the rest of the car and is noticeable....I am going to get it repainted to match....I would advise to get a OEM fender and get it painted at at body shop...

one better .... don't buy the pre-painted stuff ... go for the unfinished bumper cover and then get the front 1/2 of your car painted (hood, fenders, bumper cover) to match all of it. That's my .02 worth ... but, tis your car and you are the one who may or may not notice the difference.

Cheers

Thanks for the advice everyone. The first thing I'm going to do is swing by a body shop and check if they can touch up the current bumper.

note to self: if max ride 41 has a question on this forum and I know the answer. do NOT post.

to OP: might want to check craigslist too. wouldn't believe what some people want for car parts.

Thats like telling a car enthusiast not to talk about cars....he had a max or still does and decided to move up in the world....the max isn't the be all end all of cars.... He most likely knows more about the maxima then you do....

i forget how many teenagers are in here sometimes. there's no doubt i know jack about repairs as i'm not a mechanic, but common sense plays into driving, fixing, and maintaining any car you own. i've owned at least 12 cars in my lifetime, from a camaro, to a 76 vista cruiser to this car. this 1 is one of the most challenging but enjoyable i've ever owned. i will keep this car as long as i can, and hope that i don't have any major issues with her....

That just answered my question. My dad's Max needs both fenders & he was looking at the fenders on ebay.

Regardless of the paint that comes on it. Its still cheaper if you are trying t get a good body panel. If the paintjob it comes with isnt what you are looking for... then get it touched up. It is still cheaper then getting the body panel or bumber anywhere else.
