Mechman alternators

Has anyone used an alternator from this company?

I talked to the guy and he claims they use hybrid alternators with heavy duty internal rectifiers and diodes. They are direct fit for our cars with a new bracket adjustment.
They're not cheap, $600.00 for a real 200 amp unit!

Our 43G & 63G series PROPOWER alternators feature a new hybrid design that takes advantage of the best features of several different models. Designed specifically for Ford and many Imported vehicles. Their relatively small size affords a lot of power in this compact package. Easy bolt-on and simple plug in. The regulator is built in so there is nothing else to mount. Easy installation instructions are included PLUS all cables and Alternator connectors are labeled. (Adapter plugs and brackets required on some vehicles.) The 63G series may not fit your particular vehicle as it is larger, call for details. If you have any questions please send Email to: Dennis@mechman.com or call (760) 244-2049.

In the table below are the typical ratings for our Ford style case alternators under (hot) operating conditions. The RPM shown is the alternator rotor speed. The engine turns approximately 1/3 this speed. The cold (SAE) rating of these alternators is 12% to 20% more than shown in the table.

model #20-300-63G (200 AMPs ) This is the one for our cars

Engine RPM Alternator RPM Amps
667 2000 83
883 2500 123
1000 3000 154
1167 3500 172
1333 4000 181
1500 4500 190
1667 5000 192
1883 5500 200
2000 6000 202

Our applications are for both Foreign and Domestic. We have installed alternators on many Hondas, Toyotas, Nissans, Mercedes, etc., as well as many domestic applications.

We test every alternator before it leaves our factory. We make the utmost effort to insure that we sell the finest unit. Quality is important to us and we are always trying to improve our products. When we rate our alternators, we rate them hot, not cold as other manufacturers do.

On certain applications bracketry is required to install our alternators on some vehicles. Our bracket kits are designed for correct belt alignment and ease of installation. Every effort is made to insure a factory look. We manufacture our own brackets so as to insure a perfect fit.

We also have adapter plugs to match our units to your electrical system so that you don't have to cut wires. Simply unplug yours and plug it into ours. Whatever your application, give us a call to see what is available for your vehicle. If you have any questions please send email to Dennis@mechman.com or call (760) 244-2049

I couldn't find one that used the same technology as Mechman.
The rewinds I found didn't put out the real wattage across the RPM spectrum ie the pulley couldn't spin fast enough at low rpms to put out the amperage.
