Key cylinder help needed / start problems! ! !

My key has somehow worn the cylinder I beleive. When turning the key I have to jiggle it to kick over the starter. And for some reason when the dash gets hot from the sun the engine will not turn over untill i open all the windows for a bit to cool dow the plastic are the sterring wheel. Has anyone heard of this!?

It is probably not your key cylinder, but the ignition switch itself. It is a replaceable switch screwed to the back of the key cylinder, notorious for failing on 90's Nissans.

Are you sure its not just the starter itself seizing up? If it feels like youre 'kicking' the starter into finally turning over it could be that. I've had to put 2 starters on my '95.
