flashlight mod

from time to time i use my maxima when i do the fugitive recoveries, and one problem i always had is that theres no good place for the flashlight and/or charger, except to sit it on the seat. Since i sometimes do the recoveries on the fly, it sucks to have to stick all my gear in the trunk when im out with people just doing whatever. It annoyed me. Today i solved that problem, just figured i would share since it looks kinda neat. Going to adjust the wire some, but you get the idea

Why didn't you have it facing the other way? The wire wouldn't have to travel the length of the box and it would look cleaner.

Really nice idea, regardless.

the way the light slips in and out of the holder makes it better the way it is. Kinda hard to explain, but since its not that old (a year, maybe 2) the springs in the charger release are really stiff and it needs to go in and out at an angle.

i have to credit the idea to my dad, but im happy with the way it came out. I already keep one of the expandable batons under the lip of the front seat, on the floor so i couldnt put it there. I have a set of cuffs on the back of the center console between the seats, cant put it there lol. etc, etc.

I got the wire moved, i ended up tucking it under the cushion then down to the hinge and under like it shows. And its tight to the inside of the rest so i dont catch it when i pull the light on the run

Fugitive recovery agents are the people who come after you when you skip on bail, basically.

Dog is actually a really cool guy, and hates the dumb bs in his show almost as much as alot of the viewers. He got hosed hard on that contract sadly.

i attached velco to my garage door opener and put it in the exact same spot. I didn't want to put it on my sun visor bc it hangs down and leaves marks. and i got tired of it sliding around in the slot under my bose HU.

That little indention in the center console box is really great for stuff like this.

the one above me is how i mounted the mag light, same way but in the trunk. As to the police max the performance stuff is fine, but the idea is to blend in and that aint the way to do it lol. I can park my maxima in the middle of ghettoville and it fits right in.

I'll admit, the maglite makes a nice whoopass stick, but the last time i cracked someone with it the bulb stoped working. Now i only use LED lights, hellofa lot brighter, sturdier, and way longer run times.

I use the Lumahunter M1 from www.lumapower.com

i like it! good thinking although i personally woulda tried the glove box first, i use the center console for to much stuff to have it half filled all the time.

either way, very creative mod. 2 thumbs up.
