tl projector retro question
does anyone know if the tl projectors will fit into the new r34 headlights???
im about to start a new retro and wondering if i should go with the tl or tsx. I know the tsx will be a lot easier but the tl with zkw clear lenses are amazing.

im not sure about that.... i need to see it in person with both on at the same time.. cuz i dont want it to be like all those stupid washer mods will make a nice sharp cutoff but the output suffers like a ****..

the clear lens from the zkw has the same focal point as tl.
from what ive heard they make the tls sharper, wider, brighter and gives nice deep purple color on cutoff without washer mods or bending.

The TL projectors are great, but since they're bi-xenon what do you plan on doing with the halogen high beam reflector in the R34 housings.. I mean, I guess you could technically run a dual high beam setup... that'd be interesting. If you're good with wiring you could probably set it up so when the low beams (HIDs) are off, the halogen highs could be used for flash to pass, bypassing the solenoid for the projector shield to prevent unecessary wear... I don't think it'd be too difficult really. Or you could even run the high beams at lower wattage as DRLs and have them shut off when the low beam is activated. ( I think BMW does this on some of its cars )

No chance in hell, TL's will not fit in the R34's.
Only way it would work would be to cut off the entire rear low beam housing and mold a new one.
There isnt a lot of room to work with at all. good bezel selection has been very difficult also.

Mission Impossible theme song plays....
Valeos barely fit in these depending on how you mount it, and as you know it is one of the smaller projectors. It might fit but you would have to cut the outer reflector all the way off and mount the projector to the actual headlight housing. Worth a shot if you can spare the money of setup going bad.
