What brake pads is everyone using?

Ok let me start by saying this is my commuter vehical so looking for something thats quiet and long lasting. Nissan oem pads have been good to me but looking for a more budget friendly replacement (f+r). Let me know what you have had good experiences with on the max, and if you have any links to purchace cheap.

Thanks in advance,
carlos

I had Raybestos on before, they were good and cheap. Try to find them at Autozone.

OEM are pretty good at everything except for bite and fade. I doubt you'll find something better for significantly less money.

I've been using Raybestos Quiet Stops for a long time. They're cheap and descent but not very high performance. I just ordered Hawk HPS hoping that these would bite a bit harder.

I use Akebono Pro Acts for the front and back they seem to feel better than the pads from the Nissan dealers I had on previously. Also they stop nicely without any abnormal squeaking noises.

EBS greenstuff. Disappointed. Low dust, but they easily fade.

Damn I am all confused now. Where you guys buying the raybestos quiet stops from? Couldnt find them on autozone website and the few place I did find them at seemed about what the nissan ones cost. I think I ordered my last set of stock pads from jerry rome nissan but cant price them online from them anymore . Where's the cheapest place to get the nissan pads from... do we get discounts anywhere anymore?

Anybody running pbr deluxe? we seem to have a group buy on those. OR Wagner quick stop? can get these really cheap had wagner brakes on my neon and loved them.

thanks guys i know I asked a lot of questions.

Kragen sells Raybestos. Coz @ conceptzperformance.com can give OEM pads at 25% discount. You may need to email him for a quote. Tell him I sent ya =).

But like MaximaSE96 says Porterfield RS4 or Hawk HPS.

Wagner ceramic quiet stops.
No dust, no noise, ~$50/set and they last a good long time.
Got about 50K on mine and there is plenty of meat still on the pads.

Axis/PRB ULT Ceramic. Bit is great and little to no fade.
DUST IS F**KIN CRAZY. I have to clean rims every 3 days.
Brembo slotted/x-drilled rotors and stainless steel braided lines.

Cannot go past DBA rotors they have just come over to America from Australia they are the best rotors going if your on a bit of a budget but want good quality. As for pads Bendix is the only name I trust or Endless.
