ive driven 4th 5th and 5.5gen. My 98 5spd all it has is y pipe and 01 clutch and pp (2Y920 PP) and compared to my uncles 01 AE 5spd driving around town it actually felt a little slower, might have been the extra weight. But i love how it pulled all the way to the redline, my 98 along with all USIM 4th gens hits a brick wall at around 5500rpm all the way to the redline. the interior on the 01 looks a lot more modern but i still like my 98 better.

comparing my 02 4at to my 98 4at, the difference is night and day, the amount of low end torque the 02 has compared to my 98 is amazing, the 02 is so much more of a fun car to drive, its way faster, even though people say the stock hid's suck in the 5.5 gen they still look a hell of alot nicer then the yellow halogens. The leather in the 5.5gen is alot nicer too, i have a few gripes with my 5.5 though. the dash is pretty dull, compared to my freinds new accord his is probably 500x brighter. the turning radius in my 4th gen is way better then my 02. in the parking lot i could easily pull a u turn in my 4th gen with lots of room to spare, in my 02 id take out the light poll and still not be able to complete it Overall if you have the money go get a 5.5gen, but if you dont id say 4th gen.

But test drive all of them and see which one you like the best. Its all up to you, dont let us decide for you./

personally I think the stock HID's on the 5.5 are awesome, I'd take those over projectors anyday just for the look. btw, was it the old m45 that had the headlights that looked like there were missiles inside the housing?.. It remindes of that just a little more clean lol.

yeah i dont see how there as bad as some people say. compared to my 98 there a hell of a lot better then the halogens, they look nice, light up the road infront of me, maybe compared to the TL/TSX projectors they suck but of course projectors are superior to reflector type hid's.

Apparition, i think you are thinking of the Q45's headlights, looks like a little missle launcher
